MC-2105 value

Local Craigslist has a MC-2105 they are asking 900 for. It has a cracked faceplate and is missing the fuse holder??? Probably needs a complete going over. What would be a fair price to offer?

Sorry but he's way off and also it depends on how much the service in your area would cost. Audio Classic has one in not so good C1 condition for $1600.

When people online tell you a price from their head is from where they are at, your location is quiet different. I would call Audio Classic or Mac and see how much the glass cost and go from there. Then the fact I can't see if it's just a little crack, also without a fuse hloder are you going to be able to test it?

BTW it's not hard to pull the glass face and swap in a new one. Glass might cost $150 and a few dollars for a fuse holder.

Ah good old contrarian 427. I've only sold 3 2105 in the last few years. What the hell do I know. Look at eBay. The low is 750. High is 1500.00. Average is 1000.00. your buying a pig in a poke w/o fuse holder in HI non the less. If it is inop and you can't find a good tech locally then more costs to ship to mainland. If it is inop and you try to sell it as such on the marketplace you will need to spend another 120.00 on a proper mc2105 box to ship it in. eBay and PayPal fees are up to 13%. If the amp sells for 1,000 -125.00 for fees and 250.00 for box $ glass faceplate. That leaves you with 625.00. I stand behind my educated pricing.

I think I'd pass unless offered for "Parts Only" money - as in $250.

I don't need a tech. I can TS and fix it myself. A new faceplate is $120. Actually at this point it is moot. The seller has yet to respond to my response.
