McIntosh mx110 bottom plate part

Hello,

I have an mx110 but the bottom mounting plate is missing. I have looked on the internet but I can’t seem to find one anywhere. I was hoping someone in the community would have any ideas on where to find one.

I am guessing it's the black bottom cover to the whole unit, correct? I would call Audio Classics, and McIntosh Audio (Tom Manley) to see if they have any lying around. If they don't have any, then you're going to be waiting for one to pop up on Ebay.

FYI the black bottom cover for an MR71 fits the MX110--I got a MX110 with no bottom and snagged a bottom from an MR71 that fits perfectly. Good luck!

I’m guessing they just have numbers listed online somewhere? Can you take a look at my phot and confirm we are talking about the same plate? And that’s super helpful to know that the mr71 used the same plate

That is the cover that the MR71 should match up with. Sizewise it fits perfectly, and it looks stock, but there may not be holes on the bottom for all the tuning points in all the right places (which means that doing an alignment would require taking the bottom cover off to do the adjustments which I would guess most techs would do anyway)

Sweet thanks man! Hopefully I can get it nice and working soon! Just getting into McIntosh stuff and I’ve found the mx110, mac1500, mc2105, and mx112 for decent prices all within the last few months
 
I understand--I've gotten in deeper than I should have with McIntosh. But, when one finds a nice MR71 without the faceplate for $90 a few blocks away, how can I not rescue it?
