MCS 6700 Turntable Problem

Hey folks,
My MCS 6700 33RPM not longer spins. 45RPM not a problem. It was getting wobbly and dragging. Today just stopped! Thoughts?

The 6700 is basically the same as the Technics SL 1950(if I am not mistaken). I couldn't find a service manual for the 6700 but there is one for the 1950 on vinylengine - I would clean all the controls and the variable resistors on the main board(VR 1, 2 3, and 4) to see if that has and effect on the problem

I have a 6700 too, the speed controls can be a little twitchy, but otherwise works fine - is a good looking TT

Can you explain "twitchy"?

just that it tends to drift and be a bit of a pain to dial in - wish it was quartz locked but you can have everything I guess

Is this a "pitch" adjustment? Or what, if anything, causes the drift?
