YES! Thanks to all veterans both with us and in the next world.

We owe it all to you brave few.

THANK YOU!

We will never forget your contributions or your sacrifices.

Thanks, fellas. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be here now as we are. We owe you all a debt we can never repay. :ntwrthy:

My thanks to all the Vets and current enlisted to their endless task of keeping America's freedom intact. They don't get near the appreciation that they should.

I don't know if anyone else here likes watching "Gene Simmons - Family Jewels" but last night the episode was on about Sophie going to Ft Pendleton and them visiting the Vet's Hospital. It was very moving for me and brought back a lot of memories of my grandfather who served in WWII.

Thank you very much for all my liberties I enjoy each day.:smoke:

We could never express or show our gratitude & love enough to the Women & Men in our armed forces. Especially in times such as that they are in right now. Whether they/us believe in the wars or whether the wars are right/wrong.

A salute to all my comrades in arms both retired and active duty. And a special thanks to our brave men and women in harms way.....:thmbsp:

Memorial day

As a Vietnam vet, thanks for the thanks, and a very special thanks to all you world war II vets. We are losing them quickly, they were and are a very special breed, who grew up in the depression, fought and won the most costly war in world history, then built this country to the great economic powerhouse it is today.
And oh yeah, your music was fantastic.

I just got back from a Freedom Hill here in MI where the American Veterans Traveling Tribute has set up their monument. My daughter wanted to go for her History class, so I drove here over. Here's a bit about it I found online:

"The monument will be on display at the park over the Memorial Day weekend and is an expanded version of what was displayed at the park during Labor Day in 2005, said Pat Daniels, president of Chapter 154 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, based in Mount Clemens, which spearheaded the event.

“The monument will include ‘The Cost of Freedom,’ which honors those who served in every war the United States has fought in since Vietnam, including 9/11,” Daniels said. The exhibit is more than 370 feet long and 8 feet high, and is an 80 percent scale replica of the Washington, D.C., Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which honors 58,249 men and women who died in the Vietnam War.

The tribute will also include a 10-minute informative presentation on the Michigan Moving Wall, which includes biographies of Michigan Vietnam veterans who lost their lives. "

I'm not a vet, but was in the 1970 Lottery and probably would have been if not for going to college. These memorials are really quite sobering and are something I think more folks need to appreciate.

We owe our veterans, all of them, more than we can ever imagine.
Thank you!

Thanks especially to George Rogers Clark and the other fellas that drove the Indians and Brits out of Kentucky.

And to all the fellas in the Army of the Cumberland who kept Kentucky in The United States.

Thanks folks...

I served in the US Navy 1982-1988.

USS Clark FFG-11 (decommissioned, Polish Navy)

Spent a few weeks off the coast of Lebanon. Spent a few weeks patroling the Persian Gulf. Always something going on in the Middle East. Nothing has changed.

Thanks to all the Veterans and a remberance to all that came before us and have passed from this world!

I thought I posted here, but that was the other thread. Thank all of you who've served, we're proud of you, but especially those we've lost. :tears:
