Mission 770 Freedom Stand Specs

Found a pair of these speakers last year at a consignment store just as I was reading and first learning about audio stuff.

Told my dad to buy them, that they were pretty highly regarded. My dad is absolutely in love with them; he is so happy I had him buy them. Every time I visit, we spend hours just listening to them.

Problem is, they didn't come with stands. Currently, we have them sitting up on some clear plastic bins. I've been searching, but the stands are almost never sold without speakers (even the speakers don't come up often).

So we were talking about either finding Misson stands, buying other stands, or making replicas of the Mission stands.

Anyone have recommendations? Does anyone have some 770 stands they could take good pictures of and give some measurements? What material did they use to make them?

I got a pair at home and I can make some measurements when I get back there tonight. Roughly 10" off the floor, same material as the cabinets tilted back about 5 degrees.
 
You want the tweeters to be about ear level or slightly above. So whatever it takes to accomplish that.

I have a pair of Mission 770 stands. I will measure them and post the dimensions tomorrow, maybe with some pictures as well.

I see you're pretty intent on trying to find OEM stands, so that you're not wasting your time or hoping for a reply, the member you quoted and asked a question of posted that 8yrs ago in response to a member who was going to post measurements, etc.

Since then he got no reply on the measurements and hasn't posted to AK since 2018.

My apologies. It was me that said I had a pair of stands. I will measure them this weekend, and update this thread. I don't have any CAD software at home, otherwise I could 3D model them.

One caveat though, I have the older 770 speakers, the one with the clear SEAS woofer on the white baffle.
 
These stands are actually quite an interesting design. They have a square top plate with a cutout for the terminal plate, and a square bottom plate, raised by a V-section of two pieces of wood. But these pieces aren't rectangular, they are more trapezoidal, getting narrower towards the top. Here are some pictures and measurements. I wish I had some CAD software on my PC, as I would draw them up and things would be more obvious.

Top plate = 10-1/4" W x 10-1/4" D
Cut out in top plate = 6" from front to cutout
Cut out width middle = 4-1/2"
Cut out width back = 8-1/4"
V height = 6-3/4"
V width at top = 6"
V width at bottom = 7-1/2"
Bottom plate = 11-7/8"W x 11-1/2" D

Definitely your stands won't work for the regular 770s because the connectors are at the bottom of the speakers as well, but they are more in the center rather than towards the back. Thanks for sharing!

Mine look to be the same as yours.

i have some 770 freedom with black drivers and the original stands. they dont look like the ones posted here.
they are more triangular with 3 plastic knobs that fit into the bottom of the speaker. there is no top plate on the stands on mine. they appear to be metal clad wood that matches the face of the speaker. not my pic but the same as what i have.

long story but the guy i got them from said his brand new amp fried his brand new speakers. mission replaced everything and gave him spare diaphragms and drivers so i have those too.
