Hello! This is an amazing discussion and I am grateful to everyone for it. Unfortunately, many photos are now unavailable here!
I took out my diatone lt-3 from the mezzanine (for the domestic market of japan - 100v)
I was not lazy and read this whole topic, but I still have questions that I will ask in the process of repairing and setting up my turntable.
I really hope for the help of the experienced and respected people who are present here.

Now the deck does a good job: microlift, start, sizes 30, 17 and hitchhiking always works. But the 'I' tracking indicator never works for her! Right and Left blink while listening. The tonearm moves only <- to the left, the crab move to the right -> does not work, even forcibly. If I understand correctly, then observing the track, the motor should work in both directions, like a CD. This is true? From the discussion I realized that this looks like a problem with two bulbs deep inside the arm base and the arm needs to be disassembled. For SM, these are LA104 and LA105. Am I on the right track?

I am not able to order the originals of these bulbs. My dealer, besides volts and amperes, is interested in the size,
to find an analogue for me. I need the approximate thickness and length of the light bulb.
Is it possible to check these lamps without disassembling the tonearm, at some test points? I have a tester.
The deck has no other problems, and such a dismantling this is a test for me.

I've had my faulty machine stored away for almost 2 years now as the repair guy is busy and there are other things going on in the world. I was doing some tidying and just decided to play around with it again. Beforei plugged it into my transformer I checked to see if it was 120 or 100v. I realised that it is 60hz, whereas I'm in a 50hz region. The platter speeds are correct but the problem (tracking error indicator is on, when you press Start, the arm moves to the beginning, arm goes down but once it hits the vinyl, the arm base assembly moves back to the right, dragging the tonearm with it.).
My question now is can these problems be related to the frequency mismatch please? If so, can it actually be made to work in my region without an expensive device to change the frequency?

The line freq shouldn't matter, the power supply converts it to the DC that runs everything in the TT.

Cheers. So my next question, is why not label it 50/60Hz LOL.

Dunno, the power transformer and filter reservoir elyticaps should be rated for 50 cps supply, slightly heavier than for 60 cps. Then it can do both. Perhaps they only supplied the heavier parts in the TT, regardless of rating.

I have a LT-20, it is a great deck and must have both belts renewed for it to perform well. Mine works great but sadly the Silver Fascia Panel is in a poor state (Missing and chipped silver) This is not easy to repair. So Great performer but let down by it's looks.
