Mlb 2013

So, fellas. Are my Nats done for this year? I'm trying to convince myself they're not, but my arguments are unconvincing.

My AL team, the O's, are very entertaining with great hitting but have questionable pitching for the stretch run.

I kinda noticed the Nats numbers slipping a bit, but didn't want to say anything. ;) Unless we can make a serious comeback, our little winning streak is over. The Indians are winning 9-1 so far today. We still won this series, but I'll still complain about losing this game, if we do. ;)

Finn, hell no they aren't done. Look at where the 2011 Cards were at the end of August. Over 10 games out if I remember correctly. They got hot, built momentum and ended up winning the WS. Barely making the playoffs the last day of the season.

So, being it isn't even August yet, they are still in the race, unless they have already given up. And if that is the case, they deserve it.

Having said all that, I gave my 2011 lowly Cards a zero chance of even making the playoffs, let alone end up World Champs.

The lowly Marlins went to Denver in a tail spin, having not scored in 37 straight innings. After two games there, they now have a sinning streak. it's not pretty to watch.

The Marlins have something the Rockies don't...pitching. Jose Fernandez, who pitched last night is a stud! Koehler, the night before pitched his game of the year.

Coming into the game Monday the Marlins had scored one fewer run than the Rockies for the month of July.

I hope they don't 'sin' any more in Denver:D. Preston

Game 2 of 4: Rays beat the BoSox 5 to 1. Price pitches 9 innings. 97 pitches, no walks.
Two to go. I ain't sayin nothing.....:D

ouch...... did anyone see this?

Out for the season. And at his age and being a pitcher who relies much on power from his lower body. This is probably the end of his career

wow, just an awful play all around. probably a double fracture, both the tibia and fibula based on the position of the foot strike onto the ankle. :tears:

Lots of weird injuries this season.

Now, how about them Dodgers??!? Another come from behind win for 10 in a row on the road, 5 straight out of the break.

Should be an entertaining series with the Reds at home. GO BLUE!

Hudson's ankle injury looked terrible. I always liked the guy but it will be a miracle if he can come back from that.

Cards pound out 16 hits in beating the Phillies 11-3. Tough 10 day roadtrip coming up.

Yup, that's a pretty play. Best of the year? Maybe.

Cards complete a rare sweep of the Phillies tonight 3-1 at home. Now on to Atlanta and then 5 games in Pittsburg in 4 days. Should be some great games and a big opportunity for both teams

Your team is really good. They are tough outs. The radio shows around here have been praising St. Louis as a franchise to emulate for player personnel.
