Mlb 2013

More smoke and mirrors in Atlanta.

Beachy looked rusty, but it is his first start in over a year. I'd like to know more about this new reliever we just got from the Angles. He got a win on a couple of pitches. He has good stats.

That was a dream debut for the new Atlanta reliever. Goes into the game in the 9th with the bases full of Rockies, and ends the inning on one pitch and his nice snag of the line drive that resulted. Then he gets them through to the bottom of the 10th, where they get the winning run. A pretty fancy ending to his day, which he began as an LA Angel. Now he's pitching for a contender. I'd say that he has landed on his feet pretty nicely in this one.

Historically, Atlanta is a great place to pitch.

I don't know what they do differently than everybody else to identify and develop talent but it works. Look at the standout relievers that have gone down injured this year and how they have still managed. Pretty remarkable.

I hope to God Pittsburgh doesn't aquire Alex Rios overrated and has a huge attitude problem.

The Cards and Pirates are gonna be tired before this day is over. Tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 11th in the first game of a double header.

That was a tough loss. The kid was struggling with his pitching walking 2 and then if he would have just let the ball go through instead of deflecting it into left field it would have been a text book double play to end the inning. Oh well, win some lose some.

I'd say Atlanta tenderized mighty St. Louis a bit over the weekend. Seriously, I was watching with my boy and we both speculated that a sweep in Atlanta and the upcoming schedule for St. Louis might shake their confidence to the point where they take a big slide.

And Molina is expected to move to the DL HUGE loss.

Dodgers get a RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Yanks! Kershaw vs former Dodger Kuroda tomorrow, should be a great game.

Rest of the Western Division lost tonight so the Dodgers are now up 3.5 games on the D-Backs while the Giants slide further into the cellar at 11 games. Sorry!

The demeanor in the Dodger dugout has done a 180.
They are having fun, hanging loose and look like they expect to win.
That was an unexpectedly sly steal by Either and Mark Ellis is Mister Clutch.
