Mlb 2013

Damned old no good Boston beat us again, for the sweep. :tears: It definitely "should" have been our game, we took a 7-2 lead into the 9th, but obviously, those guys put some bad mojo on us. :sigh:

[steelcity]

Ohh well Bucs took 4 out of 5 so I can't complain.

Another Braves Beatdown. 11-2. These guys are on fire. Everyone is hitting the ball, especially with RISP. Fun to watch while it lasts.

Rockies get swept out of Atlanta, and open in Pittsburgh today. Out of the pan, into the fire.

Tulowitzki just smashed one out.

Cards offense has continued to be hot against the Reds. 5-0 through 3. Rookie Shelby Miller has struck out 7 in those 3 innings and has given up 1 hit to Choo to lead off the Reds first inning. Earlier this year Miller gave up a leadoff hit to the Rockies and threw a complete game no hitter there after.

I am glad to see the Cards get back on track. It seems when they hit, everybody hits. When they slump, everybody slumps.

If it gets to the bullpen in Pittsburg...the Pirates have the advantage, for sure.

Hoping that the Rockies can pull off a win(or two) after their poor showing in Atlanta. Preston

Wow, Pirates pitcher, Cole, just hit 98mph on his 95th pitch!!! He's got some giddy-up. Preston

He hit 100 earlier

[steelcity]

Preston I think you will get your wish :thmbsp: 4-1 now

Cards up 12-0 after 5 over the Reds.

Nice work Rockies bouncing back after the drubbings in Atlanta and getting a road win. That's the best game I've seen Chacin throw.

[steelcity]

Liriano for comeback player maybe even Cy Young.

[spaceman]

Yay, we finally won a game!!! 8-4 over the Os tonight, to even up the series. I gotta say, I like the way we're hitting, it's our pitching that's a little iffy at times, but still not that bad. Which is a big change from "normal", when we have pitching but no hitting. :scratch2:

[Sharpstik]

Spaceman, there is no decent baseball played in Philadelphia anymore.

The Pirates have serious base path speed, and if they feel they can run on you (like they did the Rockies today), they will turn it into a track meet. The Rockies didn't play poorly today, but, that isn't enough when playing a contender. Arenado got a few highlight reel defensive chances. The kid is impressive.

Yep, on both counts. Arenado has made some great plays. De La Rosa is real slow to the plate with runners on base!

Hopefully the Rockies can take the game today...have their day off and sweep the Mets. Well, I can hope and dream. Preston

Liriano is a moron

From moron to Cy Young?

That was stupid! That comment was about his lack of base running skills.

His pitching however has been brilliant

I didn't get to watch it because I had to work, but the Cards beat the Reds 15-2. I wish I had the time off to go see the upcoming series against the Dodgers. Dodgers have something like 12 consecutive road games, yikes! The Cards really seem to struggle against left handed pitching and have for years. I think Monday nights game features Kershaw and Wainright. Should be a great game. Have to look and see if it is on ESPN.
