Mlb 2013

No trades?? I know Pittsburgh is in first and playing well but.. they are terrible with RISP.

They needed to add a bat IMO

Cards are really slumping. Their offense and defense are both struggling.

Hmm, I thought tonights game was on ESPN, but apparently on FOx Sports.

It looks to me like Atlanta has responded to the season ending injury of their star pitcher with aplomb. They just swept the Cardinals, and are well along in doing the same to the Rockies. Everybody hits it seems like. Last night, every single Atlanta player that checked into the game had at least one hit. By the 4th inning of tonight's game, they had duplicated that feat. They have a ten game lead in the NL East, and they're getting hotter all the time. With the Nats still floundering, Atlanta is in a position to clinch their division title early, if they can keep it up.

That was a damned good ball game. I love how the Pirates manufactured the winning run late in the game. They are playing good baseball, and look composed.

Well, the lead is 11 now.

Everybody is hitting: McCann is a given. Freeman is good. Heyward has skill but is off and on. Gattis was a fluke surprise. Johnson, who the hell figured this guy would be leading the league? If Uggla and Upton are hot, this lineup is hard to stop.

Well, Boston beat us again, 5-4, but it took them 15 innings to do it this time. :scratch2: I guess I mean, at least we gave them a pretty good game. ;)

Cards REALLY need to end their slump tonight. Kelly is usually right around the plate, but tonight his curveball is a bit outside. 3 walks in a row, yikes.

I hadn't been keeping up on many other teams lately, but see the Royals have won 9 in a row? Pretty impressive for the Royals. I haven't looked to see what their attendance has been running, but KC fans will show up if they think ownership is actually trying to win games.

Cards are looking more like the team I have watched all season. Hopefully the giant skidmark is over for a while. After tonight we go to play the Reds in a 3'game series, then home to play 3 against the red hot Dodgers. On the road playing Atlanta, Pirates and Reds. Then the Dodgers at home? That's a tough stretch of games.
