So just to summarize this project.
You do have 2 options with the Dayton woofers.
You could first try running them with the stock port-and 1.3-1.5 lbs of stuffing.
This is about half what ESS used-around 3 lbs per speakers.
If you don't like it-simply plug the port.
I would look into bracing the front baffle.
As far as caps.
Unless you want to splurge, I would just go with the Jantzen standard Z caps.
For the 68uf cap-IMHO avoid using a electrolytic and go with a Audyn C4 poly caps-of find the yellow poly caps off ebay, like I did here.
They test out perfect, and will give you a quicker bass, non flat sounding bass response.
And would recommend like I did here, construct the woofer crossover on a separate board.
Gives more space to the large inductors, and you don't have a massive board on the rear of the speaker.

Once you get everything done and hooked up-give the speakers a week or so of steady playing before final adjustments/etc.
The standard Z caps take 100 hours or so to really open up.
Very neutral, but excellent sounding caps-what you put in, is what you get, no added euphoria like Mundorf Mcaps etc.
Certainly not bright, or fakey sounding.
Quite the value IMHO-and worth the extra $ over Dayton Caps.
Anyhow you will end up with a very enjoyable to listen to speakers-that adds to the lively highs and mids ESS Heil speakers where always known for, clean deep, accurate tuneful bass.
Deep like the ESS Monitors-with a bit more detail/color.
Probably because of the more modern driver-and-AL cone vs damped Bextrine.
And they can take some power like the old ESS speakers!!
I was running them with my new Rogue Audio DragonN (500wpc into 4 ohms), and like the old ESS speakers-they just get louder-with little to now distortion. You simply don't realize how loud they are really playing compared to alot of other speakers, simply because how clean and composed they are at high volumes.
Like most ESS speakers-they like power-efficient enough-but a high damping factor high watt amp really makes them sing!!
Like all Rogue Amps-they don't sound tube, or SS-just sound great!
I have had alot of big SS amps over the years-this Rogue DragonN hybrid really IMHO is the tops. My next choice for roughly the same price would be the VanAlstine mono blocks. DVA M225. Not the same bass control-but a damn fine sounding set of smallish mono block amplifiers. Musical magic machines!
I could live with either.
And my Atlas Magnum Dark.

And was able to get a good amount of the same type of speaker magic the Tekton OG Lore's have. Lively, musical, that just makes you want to listen, and enjoy. Not fiddle faddle around.

4 Ohm L-Pad Attenuator - 50 Watts
4 Ohm L-Pad Attenuator 50W. This L-Pad provides a constant 4 ohm load on the input terminals regardless of its setting ~ it will not interfere with a crossover network. There is a huge amount of new 4 ohm tweeters available, now you can attenuate them to fine tune and match your system.
