As far as truly creative album cover designs go, there isn't much greater than the British design team Hipgnosis and as it happens there's a great new documentary about them on Netflix. Check it out...

I don't know if I would say that this one is really one of the most creative, but it's certainly striking and well designed. I like both the photography and typography. The whole shallow depth of field trick that it uses in the photo is something that I see way overused in photography (I do photography, so I follow this kind of thing) but is very well used in this image. It gives it a far more 3D feel than it would have if both background and foreground were in sharp focus...

The automatic for the people album cover is a very interesting piece of art. It depicts nothing in particular, something that almost has meaning, but not quite. I like the aura it gives off, something unreal and alien.
