Front firing ports are 2.5", but I'd like to put my 3" ports in the speaker cabs, if the 2.5s don't seem proper. I had collected (sub)woofers, carbon fiber 6.5 mid-woofers & 9"x9" horns for these cabinets, all I really needed was the right crossover, which I finally on the bay, but didn't have the cash to spend ($50 + $17 shipping). Woofers would have handled 10Hz to 300Hz, mids handle 200Hz to 2000MHz and the Bi-radial horns handle1.500MHz to 22,000MHz. That is why I have been looking for so long, the frequencies are hard to find. The woofers cover a range that starts in the sub range, the midrange was a mid-woofer, but the short range is handled easily. The horn is an Eminence Bi-radial horn which handles 220watts and handles a lot of range. With 2-3" ports will handle the 12" JBL driver & the mid-woofer will handle the lighter bass duties in it's own unported enclosure. I just need to build the correct midrange that stops the woofer at 300-200Hz. Another circuit to allow the mid to start at 200-300 Hz (maybe 400) and stop at 2000MHz The horn needs to start at 1,500 MHz and go up, although the mid-woofer could handle 3000MHz, likewise the horn could start 2,500- 3000MHz. My crossover skills are limited and still learning, I have a subwoofer crossover that stop the frequency at 150Hz @ 8ohms, but should raise to 250Hz because the sub-woofer is 4ohms I have found a set of 2 way crossovers that if modified may support the mid & tweeter. The sub crossover is Speaker Lab & the 2 way is Infinity. My main issue is adjusting the proper caps & I have many used woofer & midrange choke coils to choose from, to put the drivers in the correct frequencies.
