MuchoReverbo's Modern Surf/Spy/Instro-Mental Thread

The Dirty Licks are an instrumental surf, garage, and punk rock band originally from the desert terrain of Tucson, Arizona. Playfully describing themselves as an instrumental act from the "sandy beaches of Tucson", they deliver a high-energy, reverb-heavy, and twangy "desert surf" sound that blends classic surf guitar with aggressive punk and underground garage elements.

Hailing from San Diego, The Tourmaliners deliver a high-energy, cinematic brand of instrumental guitar music where the raw power of California surf guitar collides with Tiki, Spy, Latin, Spaghetti Western and spooky rock influences. Rooted in the pioneering sounds of Dick Dale and The Ventures, the band transforms that legacy into a contemporary sound driven by soaring guitars, unforgettable hooks and infectious melodies. With a catalog of original music that moves effortlessly from sun-soaked California beaches to smoky spy rooms, desert highways and far-off destinations, The Tourmaliners have carved out a distinctive sound and visual identity all their own.

The Pyronauts are an instrumental surf rock band formed in Northern California (around the Sacramento and Auburn areas). Thier focus is instrumental surf rock, hot rod, and garage-infused surf music. The band has spent decades performing in the underground California surf scene, sharing stages with legendary acts like Dick Dale.

Wadadli Riders was a pioneering surf rock band from the Caribbean island of Antigua. Formed in the late 2000s, they are widely recognized as the very first surf band ever established in the Caribbean. The band mixed traditional 1960s-style reverb-heavy American surf guitar music with a distinct island flavor.

MuSick Recordings offered these autographed 18" x 24" posters for sale a few weeks ago. I snatched one up and searched around for a good frame for it and ended up buying this blue aluminum frame with glass from Amazon for $50. I just received it today. It's really nice quality. I'll be hanging this up in my home theater/music listening room......
