Los Twang! Marvels' rendition of "Siboney" is an exotica-surf rock track from their 2008 album Jungle of Twang. Released by Kamikaze Records, the song rearranges Ernesto Lecuona’s 1929 Cuban classic, replacing traditional Latin horns with surf guitar techniques. It is characterized by high-energy, melodic guitar instrumentation, blending 1950s rock and roll with loungeexotica.

After almost four decades of laying down incendiary rhythm-and-blues with WRISTSHAKERS, Finnish guitarist Kepa Harkonen now strikes out on his own with some Spicy Tales & Spacey Tones, an instrumental album that delves deep into this man’s love of the surf sound. Kepa Härkönen decided to strike on his own and head for warmer waters in the wake of Link Wray and Dick Dale. The Finn’s solo debut is not a search of the lost chord, though; rather, here’s a pursuit of personal freedom where vibe and smile reign supreme
