The Blue Hawaiians are a Los Angeles band that combines elements of surf music, exotica and lounge. They formed in 1994 to play at the opening of Hollywood club, The Lava Lounge. "Deadman's" is a standout instrumental rock track by The Blue Hawaiians, released on their 1998 album Sway. The O'Haras based in Antwerp, Belgium rely on heavy reverb, twang, and feedback, but diverge from traditional 1960s surf-rock by incorporating flamenco-tinged melodies and up-tempo world music elements. Their celebrated project, Devil’s Desert, is a high-energy, ten-track instrumental onslaught described as "red-hot instro madness"!

Fiend Without A Face is a surf-rock/psychobilly band based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded by Brent Hinds, the lead guitarist and vocalist for the metal band Mastodon, this project is known for its high-octane "surfabilly" sound.

The band and project name is directly inspired by the classic 1958 British sci-fi horror film Fiend Without a Face. The movie is famous for its bizarre, invisible "thought monsters"—brains with spinal cords that terrorize a military base by attacking victims' brains and spinal cords.

Well thanks for taking a look. Surfing, bikini clad chicks, hot rodding & espionage ain't for everyone I guess. lol

A lot of these modern surf/instro hits (sometimes referred to as "3rd & 4th Wave") end up being used in TV commercials. Here's a cool one that some might recognize. It was originally released in 1988 but was remastered in 2012 and was used nationwide in numerous TV and radio commercials.

Who remembers what company used this tune?

These guys are from Toronto, Canada. Here's a zombie post for this "Zombie Thread".......

The Surfrajettes are a four-piece instrumental surfing group from Toronto, ON, Canada. Since forming in late 2015, the band has charmed audiences with their clever mix of psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music, sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and eyeliner as thick as their guitar strings.

The Surfrajettes are guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damoff, bassist Sarah Butler, and drummer Annie Lillis. When not on tour, the group is busy woodshedding in their secret beach hut, sewing new miniskirts, debating vintage gear, and daydreaming about performing in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
