My daily driver. Had mine completely recapped. Nice warm sound,

This one is supposedly recapped by a tech,I haven't opened it up to check. DC offset was good. I am considering the 2270 for daily driver. It seems wrong but I enjoy it more than my mcintosh.

Sharp unit. I kinda though about putting a black face plate on mine but just can't go through with it.

Beautiful unit! I love the sound of the 2270. I put a black faceplate on a 2245, and it looked awesome standing alone. But I have a rack with several other silver face Marantz units, and it just didn't look good in the middle of them, so I sold it.
‘Though I love Mac build quality, I have not liked the sound quality of my 4100 and a 1700. Did have a 6100 integrated amp that I liked. Should have kept that. Would like to try a Mac with my JBL speakers. Enjoy.

I put a black plate on my 2270, and really like it! Also has the wood case.
I bought a black one from a fellow AKer back in 2018? 2019? When he had a bunch made, and everyone loved them and grabbed them up. I sat on mine, because the 2270 needed some caps and rework, but time went on. I sold my silver faceplate to another AKer desperate for a faceplate. I moved from CT to NC, and WTF, the black faceplate was nowhere to be found.
Finished the rebuild, then had to order another black faceplate from Germany, but now it runs as my man cave primary receiver.
So much for audio karma!
