Love the wood plinth of these vintage '70s turntables! Better than black IMO. That's one reason why I purchased a 1983 Denon DP-62L with a thick mahagony veneered plinth...gotta love the wood!

Lenco seems to have been 'under the radar,' here in the USA. Not completely unkown, but lacked marketing.
Beuatiful table.
Jim, I have the DP-47F (from 1986). Couldn't really afford the TOTL, but guess which model is TOTL right now! In production since 85 or so, that rivals some of the esoterics for model life.

I also am unfamliar with most Lenco equipment, but the looks alone are worth the euro you paid IMHO

I received the beast today. It looks even better in my room than on the pics

Unfortunately, the needle is awfully worn out. It looks like an oem AT95. Should I just buy a new one (about 30$ on ebay) or is there a better value in the same price range ?

The lenco TT are built like a tank, they are swiss made.

I have a model L78 for about 20 years, very heavy I think 8-10 kilos.

It plays at 78/33/45/16 rpm

that's basically the same quesion I've been asking myself for the past few years. If you find a good answer, let me know.

The Grado black is a nice inexpensive cartridge that can be had for around that price. Not sure about the specs on the AT95.
