Thanks again Tom on a job well done.....I couldn't be much happier!! :thmbsp:

As far as the sound of the 2245....I would put it just a step above my 2235B. The low end is a bit tighter, the mid's is as smooth, and the highs are clear but not bright. I'm a happy camper..

[catrafter]

It was my pleasure, 'cisco. Thanks for letting me enjoy it for a while before sending it home. I liked the way it sounds too!

The 2245 is an amazing unit. I own one too. However it could use a rebuild as well.

Currently my 300DC and 3650 are being rebuilt so one thing at a time.

The pics look beautiful congrats!

So fresh and so clean!

That's some fine work there, Tom.

[marantzfan]

Incredible. You know, the 2245 was the exact receiver that started me down the path some 16 years ago..

That one sure looks nice, I'm sure it sounds better.:thmbsp:

[hellhound94]

I have a bunch of Marantz receivers, all connected to something, and I have to say that the 2245 is definitely one of my favorites. Good luck with yours and thanks for the pics.

Dodged a Bullet.......TWICE!!

Thanks everyone

A little story about my 2245....

Bullet #1.....This is a pic of how the 2245 arrived at Tom's place:tears:....the ebay seller didn't pack it very well and he used popcorn, which some how escaped from the box.

WHEW! No damage to the unit.....

Bullet #2.....A fellow AKer was possibly interested in the 2245 before restoration was to begin but he turned it down. I could have lived with just the 2235B but I'm glad he passed on the unit. :thmbsp:

So would you call this.... "DOUBLE AUDIOKARMA"?

[onepixel]

'cisco... yeow on that packing!

Glad everything turned out well, looks great!

['cisco]

Nice pixxx! :thmbsp:

Thanks, but I'm still trying to be as good as "onepixel"....his photo's are the best :thmbsp:
