Does anyone know what turntable brand or model this headshell came from? I found it at a flea market. It has a Shure M75E 95G Type 2 cartridge. The stylus is damaged.

Thanks

Dual or Garrard would be my guess also. Maybe it's from a Garrard that had the turning headshell, don't remember the model.

the Zero-100 family. I think the Garrard one is a little more flat, but without yanking mine I won't swear to that. Duals also are supposed to take something like this, but I've never owned a Dual.

If it's a Dual, it would have to be from the 1009 family or earlier. I have also never seen a Dual with springs to sort of float the cartridge below the headshell. With the cartridge saying 95G I wonder if it is a Garrard?

There is an auction for a spring loaded cartridge at eBay. I am not going to put a link, because that will move this post to the $$ forum, but search for "Rare Dual 1019 Spring Headshell Holder Shure Cartridge" and look at the picture. It's her, isn't it?

I cannot find it in completed or active. Could you please just post the 10-12 digit number?

Thanks

That Shure cartridge was designed specifically for use with a Garrard turntable, hence the "G" in the model name. Shure made a similar sprung cartridge for use with Duals. They had a "D" in the model name.

I have a dual 1009 spring headshell that looks just like it.

Edit. Mine has a spring but once I expanded the picture (should have done that first) it is slightly different. Sorry

I had a Dual 1009F and the headshell was similar but that is not it. Contacts on the Dual were different. My vote goes to Garrard Zero-100.

Yes, Garrard. There were a few variations of that carrier. I have two different ones and both fit the Zero 100 I own. There might be others and not all may be interchangeable. This one was what came with the Zero 100 when I got it. What's on it now is slightly different.
