Mystery Knobs

FRANKRAUSE

Hi everybody, I've been trying to track down some knobs for a restoration, and I can't seem to find any information or suitable replacements. The knobs are black anodized aluminum, and they're 7/8" x 5/8" or 21.75mm x 16mm. They have a single setscrew and are made to fit a 1/4" shaft potentiometer. I think they're from around 1978-79 if that helps. I've found similar knobs that are 3/4" or 1" wide, but never 7/8".

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What piece of equipment are they from?
They were originally on a Travis Bean guitar from 1978 or 79. The company was pretty small and they only made a few hundred guitars with these knobs, so I don't think they were made in-house. They don't look like knobs I've seen on any other guitars, and I've heard that they were originally made for stereo receivers.

Probably have more luck asking about something like this in one of the general forums, this one being focused specifically on tuners & tuning issues, but FWIW they look a little like Philips knobs to me.
