NAD 3020A - ceramic disc cap replacement in pre amp

As Lee says, you need the NE1839EE - that's the only NE18 with 2 switch sections - check the linked datasheet and you'll see the difference. You may struggle to find it cheaper in Europe though.

There's probably nothing wrong with the suppression caps you have, but if you prefer to replace and have cheaper then I'd just suggest safety rated ceramics https://uk.farnell.com/kemet/c947u472mzvdba7317/cap-4700pf-400vac-20-y5v/dp/2440240, the same as it has now.

Cheers - the 'platenspeler.com' site seems to be down at the moment, I'll have another look later in the week. In the mean time I'm re-awakening 40 year old maths and trying the LTSpice route - not there yet, but slowly winning.

Fully appreciate everyone’s very helpful earlier advice that the ideal replacement volume pot isn’t available on the market, but am trying to see how close I can get..
Anyone have an opinion on this pot as a replacement in the 3020A?
As a 50K pot, what would be the likely consequences of installing it?
Less volume output? Stress on other components?
Is there anything that could be done to or around this pot to mitigate things if it were to be installed?
