Are the jumpers in place on the back of the unit between pre out and main in?
Tape monitor switch in correct position?

Don't know if you have any experience? this is complex amp.
The manual schematics shows 4 fuses but lists only one. If they check okay you have other issues.

You do realise the speaker outputs are disconnected when you connect headphones ?

If that's not it, then it sounds like it might be in protection mode - does the relay click in shortly after powering up ?

Hey Goldie! yes he pulled the h.ph's and monitor sw off. .. It does have two relays listed. obvious the power relay clicks and has preamp working. I cautioned OP's experience. so lets get some feedback before jumping in.
bink.

Hi Bink, no problem - I actually read / understood the OP's comments differently.
I'm not seeing any power relay by the way - a protection relay, and 8X input relays, but nothing on the main power. We looking at the same (hfe) manual ?

I dont have any technical experience. One of my friend suggested since the headphones are working it could be the amp doesn't understand the headphones are disconnected.

Yes I can hear the relays triggering and its not in protection mode. when it goes to protection mode it used to stay red at power led.
