I had a 680 and I was amazed at the sound. Never had the dragon but I do own a zx-9. Truly amazing....:thmbsp:
I have only two decks from Nakamichi, Dragon and 680. The 680 sounds noticeably better than Dragon to me. I believe I can fix it and make Dragon to sound at least as good as 680

Interesting comments Perry on the Dragon vs the 3014A which I own. I almost got a Dragon this year, until the budget constraints made me switch gears, since I plan on buying an apartment in a couple years. If it weren't for moving, I would have got the deck. That said I'm quite happy with just my Tandberg and a Sony A7ES for backup.

I seem to be only one here who actualy own the decks, in pristine condition, that people here all the time try to state their opinion about AND I am also one with the equipment that, for sure, is able to reveal the differences in SQ.
There are lots of DIY guys everywhere.
They rarely have heard what they seam to be so smart about and they rarely have the same qualified listening skills as they have tech skills.
This is the proper answer.

I've got plenty of high end decks. I've had Perry work on my Dragon, and I can assure you, he's probably forgotten more than you've ever known.
You're also quite arrogant and quite frankly, I think you're full of ****.

I will be receiving my dragon in a few days. I have a ZX 7 right now and will compare the two. Obviously one of the two will be the best sounding deck known to man.
