IIRC it stores dynamic states in memory - if the sensor arm is up and out or in stylus service mode, if the platter is in release mode, etc. When I first got mine years ago I somehow managed to get it stuck in an odd state that locked it up. I briefly shorted the battery to clear the memory and it returned to normal. It will not operate with a dead or discharged battery.

Thankfully mine is 100% functional, though some day I will go through it all as a preventative measure. That's been on the back burner as creating schematics is thus far part of the task.

The centre search on my TX-1000 hasn't; worked for a while now - I really must replace that battery!!

Question to hemanth20012 - when you recapped PS did you measured old capacitors after recap? They are up to specs or there was problems?

I got this on Ebay. i bough two turntables. One which is fully working other is kept as parts in case first one fails.

So i am trying to restore the one that is kept for parts.

I measured all of them looks ok except the small once. So i replaced every thing.

Check if Solenoid is lifting the brushes under the plater.

As per the code i guess center search will be disabled until the brushes makes contact to platter and get feed back from two potentiometer of X and Y axis

No not yet, just removed all the PCB's and assembled to see what breaks things

The centre search process does actually start but when the search arm should swing out, it seems to change its mind and give up!

I have a TX-1000, but the center search is not working, the search arm can be lifted to the record, but turn a few seconds, it automatically pauses, the panel does not have any error data display.


Can you give me some advice?
