Need help identifying these speakers please

I could use some help identifying these JBLs. Also, are they worth looking at or should I move on?

Mid 80's? Unlikely. More like early to mid 90's. Don't recognize them.

I have not heard back from the seller yet. I was thinking of hooking them up to my Yamaha CR-2020. I'd have to put it all in the patio enclosure though as those speakers would not fit in my 11x10 office!

Nothing particularly vintage about them, agree look late 80's to 90's type. I'd be surprised if both woofers were active.

What I am realy looking for is a pair of Yamaha NS speakers like NS 1000 or NS600 series, the kind with the adjustment controls.
I just happened across the JBLs and could not ID them and was curious. I'm passing on them.

That foot/stand looks like what JBL put on some lower cost speaker series back in the 90's or so. I found a pair of "Radiance" series JBL speakers that I should have left at the curb. :thumbsdn:

FWIW, JBL put some cheesy looking plastic stands on some great speaker models, I wouldn't let that alone influence any decision (L7, L5, L100T, etc.) Radiance are quite a bit older and are well known in JBL circles as a junk brand, er, ahem "built to a price point."

Yep what brutal said....They came out after the "J" series..the totl in that was the J-350A a tower with a 10" woofer, 10" passive, 5" mid and titanium laminate tweeter. Nice sound. These are the models that came shortly after, I believe both woofs in these are driven. For $50 I'd be all over 'em like a cheap suit!!!!

A steal at $50. Sound will throw you back. Made in the 80's. Someone get them.

Heard back from seller. He says they are JBL 630s Titanium Laminate, 4 ohms 34" tall. That's all.
Also said he has several inquieries and if I want them I need to come now. No thanks and I'm at work.
