Olympic HiFi was around in the Late 1950's into the 1960's They built hifi, and later stereo AM, FM, turntable, consoles some models with TV's. One of The things mentioned was the option of driving remote speakers What I think you have is a pair of remote speakers for a couple of Olympic Console hifi's. made in 1950's The vintage radio forums say with the Olympic brand quality varied over the years the early stuff was the best and even then is wasn't anything the write home about.. Olympic Hifi was yet another of a whole bunch of brands of console entertainment units, everyone had them in the 50's and 60's.Zenith, Philips, RCA, etc, etc. The sound of most of these consoles had was awful, real thump bass and not much else. Some of the early units where made from really good wood walnut being the most common. What I would do with these cabinets, if the wood is of quality, is rebuild them as a modern speaker. Parts Express has everything you need to make these cabinets into some nifty speakers for not a lot of money.
