Need part number for AU 20000 VU Meter

Item 54 on p16 of the SM - P/No 4300910 - Power Meter.
You can run the amplifier perfectly well with one or both meters inoperative. When it comes down to it they are mostly eye-candy, although non-working they will affect re-sale value considerably.
With most (all?) speakers you can turn this amplifier up so your ears bleed, so what do you want meters for?

I was a bit mystified by this request as well. The part isn't available new from Sansui (which itself has been gone for nearly 20 years now anyway) so the part number is irrelevant at this point In time. If the OP is hoping to cross reference this meter to one used in a different model, that is also irrelevant since the meters used in the AU-20000 are unique, and not used on any other Sansui amp.
The next closest meter assembly would be that used in the CA-3000, and while it is physically the same size, it has a different scale on the meter face, and may or may not be electrically identical to those used in the AU-20000; I've not ever had cause to check that so I'm not sure.
In any case, finding a spare meter for the AU-20000 will be a long slog, as it is a fairly rare model that is nearly never seen being parted out. Might be better off to find somebody who can re-wind the meter movement coil (assuming that is the problem with OP's existing meter). If the meter is physically damaged (needle or scale), then I'm hard pressed to make any workable suggestions short of beating the bushes for the next ? years to try and find a spare.

It should be possible to find someone who will recondition your meter, these skills should still exist - however it is very delicate work.
