I do not take it as fact. The Facebook page has not had a new post since Sept 15. I would hold off ordering until there are firm answers. I hope it is just not a campaign to damage a business.
 
Kinda odd to have a business close up 'effective immediately' with no further info, no notes, etc. Which suggests the Hoffman post was legit, but if so, why was it removed? It's a mystery.

Was it ND that had the great database where you could put in a TT make and model and it would give you the original cart and stylus? If so, that would be a sad loss of a resource. I've used such a database somewhere to find a stylus for a 1950s TV/radio/phono console, it was great.
 
I'm shocked to see this thread. I stopped in their physical shop recently to see what was "new". I haven't purchased anything from them in a few years, but refer everyone I know who is interested in vinyl to their shop/website.
 
I hope the LP Gear website business stays healthy. Vinyl is really a niche market with limited growth in consumer demand. How often do you really need to buy stuff?

Yes playing vinyl has become more popular in the last few years. But how much growth is left?
 
i almost placed an order before seeing this. was only holding off to perhaps add more items to maximize savings on shipping.

I was thinking that myself. I wonder if it's just a question of a webpage that's bought and paid for, for some time period, and no one's at the helm.
