I was pretty amazed to find them. Funny thing was that as I was talking with another customer at the estate sale and mentioning how rare these tapes were, an elderly lady who was listening in said that she had several of them in a different color she wants to get rid of. We exchanged phone numbers and I will be picking them up soon. The fake TEACs aren't close but they do look cool for shelve queens. Great find jqp500, those things have never lost value.
I always ask. A while back I was picking up really nice stereo cabinet that was a "curb find" and asked the owner if they had any really old stereo equipment. They ended up giving me a Sherwood S-7310 Quad receiver in mint, I meant mint condition. Bought a nice Teac GE 20 equalizer at a yard sale and asked if they had any old stereo gear. They did. Ended up with a pair of Sony SS-890 speakers...incredibly rare here in the USA. I have also picked up at least 100 cassettes for free just by asking.Post em if you find them! I keep telling people that they need to ask for equipment, a lot of this old stuff is just sitting in desks or boxes waiting for a new home.
Nice grab! Beatles R2R’s have amazing sound quality!A few of my lasted finds
Nothing special, but still sealed...

Interestingly, the first one I opened has one of the quietest hubs I've heard from a cassette when using FFD and RWD. Almost no rattle at all.
