Hey guys, finally joined, I’m looking to work on a few nice pieces I have, and here seems the place to get knowledge.
I’m 48 and worked as a technician for several years, also a guitarist and I’ve maintained some vintage tube guitar amps and even built and modified one from a kit. Also built several guitar effects pedals so I can solder and read schematics, troubleshoot. But guitar amps and pedals are pretty simple beasts, these things are a bit more complex.
What I have:
A Scottkit LK72 that my grandfather put together from a kit;
A HH Scott Stereomaster that was my dad’s, and I grew up with;
A Sansui 7070 that I recently picked up;
A Pair of Infinity speakers, don’t remember the model, has 8” drivers. I replaced the foam surrounds, but I need to rebuild the crossovers, as one is faulty;
And a pair of Bose 501 series II speakers. Haven’t taken the grill cloth off yet but probably needs new surrounds.
Everything I have needs work! So I will be posting questions, but just wanted to drop in first and say hi.
