@Turbo Ron: You said in other posts that you had MC501's before. Could you please drop some comments on how MC601 sounds comparing with MC501?

There is a big difference between the MC501, and the new MC601. The MC601's carry alot more weight. Your speakers will just open up. I find there is a much greater difference between the MC501 and the new MC601, than there is between the MC402 and the MC501. This will be the last amp you will ever need. I find it very hard that they can improve on this. The MC601 will not disappoint.

I am going to move in the same direction. I think the MC303 makes sense. The decision for me will be what to get with the MC601s,MC303 and MC302 or what for 7 channels? Excellent set-up. Thanks for taking the time to post some pics. Well done!

Ron,

Awesome system. A system that many can only dream about!

You mentioned you had the Mc205, can you provide feedback as to how it compares to the MC303 particularly for center and surround duty?

If the options are MC205 and MC601 or MC303 and MC452 from your experience which would you do?

Thanks man! Enjoy the setup.

I have not heard the MC452, but the MC303 is really good. No question I would go for the MC601's. This amp is amazing. 601 & 205. If you enjoy 2 channel, you have got to get this amp. It just opened up my CLX like I have never heard before.

I want to clarify something. If your main interest is theater, I think the 501's would be a better match with the 303, rather than the 601's for the front left & right and the 205 for the center.

If you can swing the 601's now, and find a 303 at sometime on audiogon in the future, that would be the way to go. The 601's are that good. A big step over the 501's.

Why? Do the 601s outclass the 303 that much? I was trying to reduce the number of amps but may have to use a MC601 for the center channel.
