Anyone else suddenly getting these huge animated JBL pop-up ads whenever you open a new thread?

If from now on I have to wrestle with these animated ads, I’ll visit AK a lot less frequently…

It’s like a JBL virus…

Register to hide this ad
It is obvious that you have been planted with an "authentic's" virus. You need to run a virus checker on your system to try to be rid of it. You probably got it by clicking on an unchecked website. You have to be very careful with websites you are new to. Do not click on that "shop now" or the "authentics" link. There are very good free anti-virus programs online. Get one and use it.

Not here

Very quick to assume this is an AK specific issue,

See below

..If you see something, could you report it here with the following info:

-Operating System You're using
-Device type
-Browser
-Screen Capture (if able)

Thanks, all. I have experienced it only on AK, so it seems to be site specific. Also, audio ads. And it’s getting progressively worse. I have an iPhone. Apple doesn’t recommend using antivirus on it’s devices.

if this was a virus, I would doubt very much it would plant a JBL ad as part of its payload. I had it once this morning on an up to date macOS based PC And thankfully have not seen it again. And yes my Mac uses antivirus software. And yes this is also probably not something AK has done, but who its using for its ads might have been responsible for it.

^ I didn't have any issues, I was just correcting a previous comment I made noting that others using Mac OS & Samsung Galaxy were.

Thise big pop-ups are from Google-ads. Advally deals with them.
Advally only watches the "Report Problem Ads Here". If you create a new thread, instead, you are whistling in the wind. They won't see it.
I posted there, also; and it seems to have been remedied. Thanks.

P.S. I’m exclusively Mac, too.

It popped up yesterday on my phone and I had a little difficulty getting past it but managed. Haven't seen it since tho.
Not yet on my desktop - thankfully.

Been getting this on my iphone. I noticed it about a week or so ago and it would not come back if you closed the window. Today, it keeps returning every few minutes.

Incorrect.

It would be great if the reporting thread was easier to find.

Thanks so much for your kind guidance. Not seeing it. But no big deal. I'll just avoid browsing the site with my phone for a few days while it gets addressed.

I went into my iphone settings under Safari/ Advanced, I clicked “block All Cookies”. I stopped getting the ad. I went back in and disabled the block all cookies setting. So far so good.- it’s only been 10-15 minutes though.
This is a msg when you click the setting that it will delete all cookies and close all open tabs.
