The move to the new server is done. There are some software and database maintenance updates in process. This has us passing the hat around to help out. We appreciate any donations. Seriously, even a dollar helps. The payment page may be found here - https://www.audiokarma.org/support.html
Certainly doesn't hurt to revive these old threads. Those of us with 1970s gear are just learning this stuff. I went with UKL for low leakage in signal path, per Oleg. I did not go film. Was afraid things might get too bright. UPM/UPW/UPJ for low impedance in other locations. I can say that through my bit by bit replacements some excellent filter caps do not sound as good as the set of KS I found. And UFG in low leakage spots did not sound good.
'Fine Gold' doesn't mean 'low leakage' - sometimes this can make a big difference, and the non-audio grade Nichicon UKL (low leakage) caps can beat them hands down (if you can get them).
