No Excuses

Dickason 6th edition is now deeply discounted. Current is 7th, but the basics are the same:

Worth every penny (x5) for any aspiring speaker builders. Usually, right after recommending to build a kit to see if the work interests you, reading the LDCB cover to cover (twice, at least) is my second recommendation.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Mine's on the way!

I finally bit the bullet. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm going to buy 6 of them and give them away to friends at Xmas ....
Except one for me ....

All the theory in the world aint gonna help my crappy woodworking skills. But I bought one anyway. Masochism at work.

Buy beer and have your crafty friends do the wood work per your design.

Not that I know anything about that.....

Don't sweat it, Zilch. I've worked in the industry for years and you can BS with the best of them. :thmbsp:

Had not seen that. I do however have a set of those boxes, a hole cutter and a sawzall (works good on cars too).

What was the final out come on that project and what kind of money would it take to duplicate? If you don't mind sharing.

Ahhhh, a vote of confidence!

Thank you, Ray....

I'd have to go back and take a look. I don't think I documented that project anywhere but what you just saw, but they're still here for reverse engineering, if it came to that.

Actually, I'm just now working on a simpler and more thoroughly documented AR4x "upgrade" in this thread:

I was hoping my new tweeters would show up today, but it didn't happen. If they come tomorrow, I'll work some more on it over the weekend.

Not sitting idle in the meantime, though, the one below is cookin' right now. My point is you don't have to be able to build boxes to do this. There's plenty at the thrift store to employ for honing your "Cookbook" skills.... :thmbsp:

[cabinover]

I bought one dammit, now go back to your data would ya?

[Duffinator]

I just ordered one.
