Nobis Technologies Convigore

Can't help with any of the equipment questions, but cool to read about this company/retailer after all these years! I still use 2 pairs of Sig-Lynx AG interconnects in my various systems! The first store I heard tube equipment & Acoustat Electrostatic speakers in.

It's a two channel 50 watt class-a el34 amp. 50 watts seems like a lot for el34s. Sounds pretty good though but has somewhat of a transistor like sound to it. Ever hear of it?

I have 3 Nobis SRA 8 Tube amps, 2 SRP 7 preamps, 1 SRA 4 amp and a pair of the non obtainable SRA 9M'S amps

I have a Nobis Proteus and I love it, but now it also is in need of repairs. Does anyone have the schematics for any of the Signature Technologies/Nobis products?
Here in Chicago, Deltronics has done some reverse engineering to be able to restore the preamp, but it would be awesome to have the schematics for future repairs. Thanks
He is what I have of the Signature Technologies products. The SRA 8, SRA 4, SRA 9M'S amps and 2 SRP 7 preamps

never heard of the amp, but 25W is the maximum dissipation for that tube. But I wouldn't run them that hot. I prefer to design the output stage at the most around 70% of the max dissipation. So If I was to use the el34/6ca7 I would design it as a four output tube amp for 50w. 7027A would be a good candidate for a two tube push pull amp. Transistor sound? Never heard of that, but if they use cheap cement resistors on the screen that might induce a little bit of FM distortion when pushed. Some, but not all, metal oxide resistors on the screen might cause some edgy harmonics to ring due to the inductive nature of the resistor, but most metal oxide resistors have gone to counter winding to reduce parasitic capacitance and inductance.
