I'd relish a look at it, PM, but even clicking the link doesn't work.

The "LINK", my friend, is a "DOG"....

Link works fine for me. You might want to adjust the height on that arm rise... or is is supposed to be that high. Been a long time since I loaded a stack of 10 or 12 records on a changer. Nice looking table by the way :thmbsp:

It looks scary, but it clears the bottom by about 1/8". We're talking German precision here.

I love to watch the old "mechanicals" work. The ultimate would have to be the hydraulically powered one that flips the records over, but even a simple changer is a joy to watch. Not the greatest thing for avoiding wear on vinyl, nor for maintaining a constant VTA, but fun to watch!

Love the look of that large plinth under your Elac, too. Nicely done! :thmbsp:

Nice table and the link works for me. Do you need a dust cover or another base? I might know a shop which has some NOS ELAC/MIRACORD stuff.

BTW, with changers, typically VTA is a compromise usually for the middle record of a typical stack of 3-5. Obviously, each record is going to have a different VTA but when these werre designed, conical and ellipitical stylii were all that were available and VTA, as an adjustment, was not thought of that much, or less critiical in the overall scheme of things with changers.

Now, if there was ever a changer that automatically changed the VTA with each record, there's a device!
