...I thought you'd never ask. Let me give you a tour.
Here are some intimate shots of my Shanling A3000 integrated (circa 2006).
It’s a dual mono set-up rated at 2×200W RMS / 8 Ω and 320W RMS / 4Ω.
It has independent power transformers for left and right channels.
4x10,000 μF caps per side for a total of 80k μF capacitance.

Toward the back, you’ll see the two Electro-Harmonix 6922 tubes in the built-in buffer stage. (Only the unbalanced inputs run through this buffer, the balanced inputs bypass straight to the SS pre section). The volume control is an Alps motorized pot.
You might be able to see the red LEDs on the circuit board, and the blue ones among the caps. They added these just light up the inside of the case, bringing the cool factor to one-million.
The CNC’d aluminum chassis really is that thick. The whole rig weighs just under 70 pounds.
And all this for under $1,500.00!

My new gainclone I ordered from Tim Rawson. I had him use a 230 va Plitron transformer and Blackgate caps in the signal path. Sounding better every day as it "burns in". This amp cost me $300 and is a steal for that. It uses 3886 chips, does 50 wpc with deep solid bass when called for. Just an amazing value.
