yeah, the computer on my dad's 99 Grand Prix GTp is a "learning computer" inwhcih it will actualy "learn" the way you drive your car,a nd if you mod the engine.

but, like in the old days, cheap tweak would be to dump a 4bbl in there (if it didn't have one already) and new cams, well in new cars, that the timing is all done by computers, the good cams won't really make a differnce since the engine is already at, or close to 100% effictive with those cams.

I mean, like on my dad's GP, he can put a smaller pully on the super charger for about $70 and add like 25hp (and he already did that) and then he can get a whole new computer which does wonders to the engine, but that is $350. but besides that, there isn't much more besides really spending the big bucks to reallly get the engine overhauled and done up.

I don't care for new cars that much, I love the older cars, big land yatchs, with a real V8, loaded with chrome, and power, heel even the old sports cars were huge, there is just something that is really not cool about seeing this little Honda Civic Si or whatever with all these ugly body kits and spoilers and all. I mean, even in the movie Fast and the Fuirous (which sucked big time) and the only cool car was the old Charger, no matter who saw that movie, even the kids that are into the Civic's and all, their jaw just dropped when they saw that Charger and all that was done to it. but it's like HELLO, that is a REAL sports car, not alittle Honda Civic which was designed as a budget communiter car with a body kit, huge spoiler and fart pipe that do nothing for performacne. ahhh when will they learn....

but, I also should mention, that people still did foolish things to their cars back in the old days.........

my father was saying one time, how the kids would enrich the fuel mixture in the forward cyclinders, because as the car acclerates, gravity pulls the fuel to the aft of the engine, and the front cyclinders would get a more lean mixter

yep, he said they would swear by that, and a few others which I forgot.

The Charger was the only good car and yet it got destroyed in the end.

yeah, but the other guy in that other car (Toyota something, right?) had to use his nitrous 2 times just to keep up with him.

anyway, I was told that wasn't a real charger that they destroyed

Well the Supra did not have a blower sticking out the hood either, the car was built around the 2 stage nitrous it had inside of it.
