Old Magnavox CL ad...

I found a month-old ad for a pair of Maggie tube amps. Not sure if the guy still has them, but what can you tell me about them? I know some of the Maggie amps are easy to adapt than others...

Circa '61 Concert Grands. Those are two mono, biamped units, very desireable among the faithfull.

For what? I don't recall seeing the ad or link posted.

And why are people so hot to flag an ad, because they don't list the price?

For me, I don't care...

With two rectifier tubes and eight output tubes, they should be relatively high-power units.

'Cause craigslist rules say you gotta post a price, and craigslist is "policed" by the community itself

Concert Grand amps, push-pull-parallel (triple parallel??) 6V6 for the bass channel, push-pull 6V6 for the highs, dual 5U4GB rectifiers. You're looking about 40 watts of bass, 12 or so of highs, which for 1960 was a pretty damn impressive console stereo amplifier.

Was an inside joke, hence the smilie thing ;)

To bad they were gone, would have been nice.

I flag every ad that lists best offer without a price, as it's against CL rules. You have to click a box that says you agree to follow their guidelines when you post an ad, so they knew -or, should've known - what they were doing.
