My 1956 VM "Playtime" phonograph had an Astatic model 66TS crystal cartridge on it. A flip-over with the knob on the front of the tonearm. My 1968 Coronado consolette stereo with a VM changer in it had an Astatic model 133D ceramic cartridge on it. Just the needle flipped over on that one. My sister's record player she had when she was little had an Astatic model 146 ceramic cartridge on it. Another with a flip over stylus.

I grew up listening to music on a 13T in a VM changer. It worked just fine -- I later put a BOTL Pickering conical in that VM and used it for quite a while; part of my first hifi (teenage years).
