Alan, I just ran across this thread. As you know I haven't been spending much time on AK since I resigned my Mod position. My passions have just gone in another direction but that doesn't mean I don't value the friends I made here.

I'm sorry to hear about your sisters misfortune. But she is very fortunate to have a brother like you. I know this wasn't an easy thing to discuss but you couldn't have picked a better group of guys to open up to. The response appears to have been awesome. The kids and myself will drop you a line...

Did my check ever turn up? And for those of you thinking I'm a deadbeat, I got so frustrated I already re-sent it via Paypal. The mystery is where the check wound up. I theorize it's being delivered by Dudley Dooright on a sled dog, or something.
 
Your check never made it, possibly it was re-routed to someone else. Most of the postman here have only 20|60 vision acuity

I'll let you know if it ever turns up.
