from fotno (Steve) & RichPA (Rich).

You're more than welcome Alan - Hope it helps some. You and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers buddy.

The Check's In The Mail...

I sent a check (#21768) for $31 on September 26 for the first T-shirt Auction, last name starts with W. Did it arrive, or is it still somewhere in snail-mail land?

Update:

I would like to thank all Akers for their help the last month and a half.
Maureen is feeling a lot better though today her dog,Savannah was diagnosed with bladder stones\cysts.So today has been rough.

Besides your fiscal generosity some of you PMed with your experiences of this hellish disease.I was moved by these stories and do appreciate the authors sharing them with us.

As one Aker wrote, people will tell you to snap out of it.This has got to be the most insulting phrase you can share with a depressed person.

Once again I want to thank you all,you are always there for me,Maureen talks about Ak a lot,she even lurks sometimes.I tell her to join, afta all she has the best irish music collection I know of in this province,

God bless you All

What type of Paypal account?

opt80 said:
Due to a couple requests I have opened a paypal account.my email is amcallaghan@islandtelecom.com

As Nixon said, let me be perfectly clear,I did not open this to solicit more money.I just should have did it years ago.

I thank each and everyone of you for your help,we talk constantly about the generosity of AKers.

You are all special in this house.

Alan

Alan,

Since I am not Paypal verified (I won't let them have my bank account number) I can only use paypal via my credit card. If you have not already done so, Paypal will require you to upgrade your account to a premier account, and then will begin taking small fees for every payment you accept.

My question is: Is your account already a premier one, or will my donation be the first of this kind, causing you to have to upgrade?

I think having Maureen as a member would be great! God Bless you both.

Rob

PS: And for Irish music/Irish singers, we just got the CD "Celtic Woman", simply beautiful!

The sampling I got from that collection a while back was (and still is) very fine indeed. I loves me some Irish tunes...........

Opt80 - Sorry to hear about the dog. Jeez, I guess when it rains it pours. I just had an unusually good Dalmation mix pass on from a really agressive and rare cancer. (Only 6 yrs old!) so I know how much damage those vet bills can do, if it comes to that. I hope yours aren't nearly as steep as mine were! My choices were to just let him slip away in about a month or pay very dearly to keep him around and relatively healthy a little longer. Of course, being a hard-core dog fan, I chose to pay thru the nose. Had to indefinitely delay in buying some long-sought-after stereo gear, but fortunately it did not destroy my finances completely. (So nobody better send me money! Let Opt80's family have it!)

merrylander - Regarding "Celtic Woman" - Is that from the concert I see on PBS from time to time? That one is excellent - sung by Angels!

Come on, Maureen, Too-Rye-Aye, Come on Maureen, Too-rye-Aye...(W/apologies to Dexy's Midnite Runners)... Join up, & yer old Unca Sandy will regale of some of the goofy stunts he's pulled in his life...Guaranteed to drive the blues away for awhile...-Sandy G.
