Ordering from Michael Percy

Has anyone ordered from Michael Percy recently? I placed an email enquiry and have had no response after nearly a week, has anyone had any recent interactions with him?

Is Michael Percy Audio a one person operation? A quick look online indicate slow customer replies on audio forums like Audiogon and diyaudio (and AK!), but opinions on his service are mixed. They state that communication is sometimes slow, with emails or phone calls taking several days, weeks, or sometimes longer to receive a response.

Although I have never heard of Michael Percy, I do support small business though. If this is a one-man operation, I have often found that sometimes the responses are either instant, or heavily delayed.

As far as I know it is a one-man operation, which is why I have given him much more latitude than usual as I too like to support small businesses wherever they are.

I ordered some caps from him a couple of years ago and was happy with his service. I inquired about some other caps early this year. He told me fairly quickly that he was out of stock, so I found them elsewhere. I’ve had good experience with him, especially considering that he’s a one man operation

Same responsiveness when I emailed about some caps a few months ago.

I have just had a response from Michael, he has been unwell, (I knew it must be something like that!), and is understandably taking a little while to recover. He expects to be back in his office in a week or two all being well.
