I have a Pioneer PL-A45D turntable On the table I have a Ortofon OMB 10cartridge.
What should get 2M cartridge or maybe a 20 or 30 stylus.

Thanks

You want a cheap thrill - drop over to Turntableneedles.com and get a # 541-DE-Copy after market stylus assembly. Like $29 and it rocks. You'll need to track it at 1.8 grams or so and it will take a bit of fiddling by turning the cartridge body slightly inward (a degree or two) to help with tracking, but once you get it dialed in, I was shocked at the BIG sound. Great clean bass and detail all up the range. Cheapest Ortofon giggle I ever had :)

PS - rumor has it that its a JICO stylus :)

Being an Ortofon dealer, and having heard the difference between bogus copies of the originals and actual Ortofon styli, I find it extremely difficult to giggle. Usually I just shake my head.

*Hint, hint!*

Call Fred and let him hook you up with a replacement stylus.

At the local audio shop the price of the OM20 is 74 Euro and the OM30 is 116 Euro. These prices are the lowest I have seen and are really bargain prices for such fine needles.
I would go for the OM30, there isn´t much that comes close.
