mixedup

any suggestions? i'm interested in giving MC cartridges a go, so would be curious if anyone has any recommendations on an outboard phono stage that mates well with the 2275....

The step up device you use needs to match the cartridge you use. You can use a pre-preamp MC step up device and feed that into the MCA2275 phono input or a complete phono section and feed it into a high level input.
What low output MC cartridge are you looking at?

Thanks,

hadn't really decided as yet on a cartridge....but perhaps a step-up transformer and the phono input may be the way to go...

opinions are appreciated!

There are a whole bunch of great cartridges that do not need a step up device, both MM and high output MC types. What turntable are you using?

Thanks,
