I wish , this is something I will do at some point , I build single speed and tour bikes for fun and to keep my habbit's going

i have less then $130 total in this amp, this includes the cost of the amp, re-cap, on/off switch and the tubes.
i like the "rough" look but it sounds oh so good.
if its your first amp, look for an old stereo console.

I would say it's a very cost-effective project. The rough look doesn't bother me. Thanks for the tip !
 
update of my listening space

Well I re-did the bedroom and redid the setup. still not done. But will work for them. Yes that a sansui 5000x with the pioneer stuff. But the pioneer tuner wonders off the station lock when warm up then back. Strange. But in any case the sansui works fine. Also included is a teac reel to reel. Realistic 8 track and sanko tape deck, etc ,etc .

Nah that's a PSW-10 polk sub my roommate had no where to put. It's gone now.

And yes, yes you have seen it on craigslist. Trying to sell a lot and start anew.

It's a custom-built rack made from Philippine hardwood, I designed it and gave the dimensions I want to a nearby shop where it was built then was delivered to me sanded and ready to paint. I painted it my self with a full tone walnut wood stain to make it appear as an old piece of furniture in keeping with the vintage motif. Notice the upper shelf where the KA 7700D (KA 9100) sits, there's nary a sag on it and this amp is a real heavyweight!
