Pics of your listening space

Well I re-did the bedroom and redid the setup. still not done. But will work for them. Yes that a sansui 5000x with the pioneer stuff. But the pioneer tuner wonders off the station lock when warm up then back. Strange. But in any case the sansui works fine. Also included is a teac reel to reel. Realistic 8 track and sanko tape deck, etc ,etc .

Nice Senna Da Silva posters.......:yes::D

Pics of my little shanty/computer shed way out back. I have to rotate Receivers for now but I'm thinking of taking the Boob-tube TV out since I don't watch it anymore, and building floor to ceiling shelves for all of my receivers, if they will fit. I have a 1984 40 foot Bluebird Flat-nose Schoolbus that I'm converting into a motorhome that Houses most of my Stereo and speaker Collection. When I get it in order I will snap some pics of all my stuff.

Cool stuff. What system are you going to put in the BlueBird ?

I saw a video of a guy who did the Bluebird conversion and converted his to bio-diesel too. He did some really nice wood work in the RV and it turned out very nice. Those things are built like tanks too.

Well, I figure maybe one of the three Pioneer SX-9000 receivers I have in the living room, the JVC Nivico four channel in my bedroom and maybe this Sherwood S-8500 I'm listening to right now in the workshop in the rear... :scratch2:.. I need another on the Roof deck and of course the bathroom needs one.. :thmbsp: I may need a longer bus.. :banana:

Yeah, the Bluebird is a keeper and I'm looking forward to some road trips driving it. It has the 555 Cummins V/8 Diesel and an Allison four speed Automatic and both seem tight, The engine fires up at about two turns and holds 80 PSI oil pressure running warm and about 45 at idle. Cold it pegs the 100 psi gauge and the odometer reads 119K. It was from a local school district and apparently the mechanics weren't lazy or spared expense. It has a fresh radiator, alternator, belts, air compressor and all the running gear is tight and well greased, also the brake shoes are better than an inch thick and the air tanks hold air for days. I'm a retired Auto body tech and Mechanic, so the paint outside and woodwork inside will be no problem. I figure platinum silver with aluminum alloy wheels, tinted windows and curtains, nice carpet and storage boxes with built in speakers at every possible location. I also picked up on a commercial grade sewing machine and I intend to learn how to do my upholstery.. I got a hot tub that I want to use as a base for my bed if it will go through the rear door. I am building a wall with a door and using the last fifteen feet of the bus as a workshop/toolroom and it will be separate from the forward living area. I also thought about cutting the rear section loose and hatching it to lift up so I could drive my Suzuki sidekick up into the rear... I already measured it and it will fit, also I could carry my fourwheeler or a Motorcycle, and I gotta have a deck on the roof with a hatch to access it.. a little patio umbrella area with fold up rails so I don't fall off.. :thmbsp:

The Maggies do fine but do better with my M&K V-125 sub to give them a little help. Much more dynamic and no stress on the Maggies. Great system for Acoustical, Jazz, and Female Vocals. :yes:

Orionkc, I love that cabinet... what's the story on it?

John
A gentleman advertised it in the local CL under the FREE section. A buddy of mine picked it up and we did a swap for some speakers. I got the Barzilay in the swap. I was seriously considering adding a couple of the matching speaker cabinets to go with, but for now I'm sticking with the Maggies. I could always replace the speakers but the Barzilay was such an unusual and beautiful piece I had to have it.

Not my whole listening room (it's an embarassing mess, as usual) but the stuff I'm listening to today.

An interesting mix of the mundane, the high-end, and the mid-fi. It all sounds good to me, though.

I pulled my gear out of my room and set it up in the living room for winter break. The Infinitys sound so much better with some room to breathe :D

From the listening spot.
