Pics of your listening space

Urizen when your finished with your Forte' 4 send it on over in my direction, I have wanted to try them out for a while now. :thmbsp:

Totem, the Forte' will be replacing a Sunfire 300. We'll see. It's sounding pretty sweet right now. It takes about an hour to get "hot", but once it does, it smooths out very nicely. One possible problem; it doubles as a space heater. It gets pretty dang warm, so I won't be able to leave it on constantly like I do with the Sunfire, which runs cool as a cucumber.

i had this set up for awhile now except for the chapman 250 added in the back for near-field listening at night.

My humble hut. 12' x 12', but it's all mine! If I had a flush toilet and a shower my wife would never see me.

I've moved the TT to it's proper space in the rack since then. And the whopping 13" teevee is now where the TT was.

Not shown is my Audiosource Amp7.

Next I want a flat-screen teevee that I can hang on the wall so I can get rid of that standing cabinet, which interferes with the imaging of my Fortes.

I must compliment so many of you AKers for such outstanding listening spaces! So many 'regular' folks just don't know what they're missing!!

Rick

Gogofast, that is a sweet setup. Congrats.
Snade

thanks snade.

Gogofast- may I ask which C- series Yamaha pre that is? C-4/6? Clearly, you think its a decent bit of kit.

it's a C-6.
i bought it with matching tuner initially for back up, and ended up giving the tuner to my friend. i hooked it up to my tube power amps while trouble-shooting a few issues, and ended up using it full time now. this yamaha is pretty much the most reliable preamp i've ever used. as far as the sound, i thought it was little sharp for my ears when it was matched with SS yamaha and other power amps, but now with tube power amps, it has mellowed down a lot and i just love its clean sound.

Got some RS6 speakers (for 2 channel audio) for the living room. I took a shot with one of the grills off, but I normally leave them on.

I also moved my Realistic Electrostat/Super T combo next to my bed. Don't worry, I do not usually stack the Roku on top of the Entech, but it was the easiest way to get them both in the shot.:D

nice set up. i can imagine how good that ads and marantz combo would sound.
if you're using it as a digital source, have you considered a dac for that dvd player? even a basic number cruncher can make your dvd player sound like $1000 cd transport.

btw, what is that little door in the wall??? i've seen it from other members' pictures, too.....seems like many of you guys shelter Leprecons in the house for them to come out at night and clean your gears.

the door: that's where the gas shut off is to the furnace. I put that in as its easier to open the door and be able to access the shut off rather than go in the furnace room and climb over all the s**t in there to get to it.

I've thought about an external DAC, but at this point I'm happy with how it sounds and I'd rather spend $$ on my main systems in the other room (Martin Logan Aerius possibly coming soon.)

whats the thing hanging overhead? Drop ceiling? Giant air duct? Emergency evacuation pod?

duct work. Ceiling would be too low for a drop ceiling, so I just painted the main box ducts and covered the mess in between. The evacuation pod is on the other side of the room.

I think I've got mine settled in for a while. Placed the Aztecs in last week and was really pleased with the sound when meshed with the Klipsch's. And thanks to AK member SPL db I have a solid core with the Pioneer SX-1050.
