Thanks for the bike update. My first NEW bike was an 87 Cdale, crazy custom paint with 600. Love the 80's.

The orange and chrome one is a 1985 Lighthouse, custom built by Tim Neenan. The fork was NOS, made by Antonio Mondonico before his retirement. This is my absolute favorite bike to ride, and it was the most fun for me to build. I have the full details over here.

The blue one, is a 1987 Cannondale that had less than 300 miles on it when I got it. Shimano 600 all around, Wolber rims, 3TTT Stem, bars and Seatpost. White San Marco Regal Saddle. it's a blast to ride, but then again, "steel is real".

The white and yellow one is a 1989 Cilo 450 Sport that I converted to a single speed commuter. It's a great commuter, and is definitely lower maintenance than my other bikes, but really I do like having more than one gear.

Cool. I also own a 1987 Cannondale. I own three bikes, a 1985 Cannondale SR600 (green bike) and 1987 SR500 (white bike) and a POS mountain bike from Sears for riding in foul weather and at night. I bought both 'Dales as brand new frame only and built the bikes myself. In 1997 that was the last year that Cannondale allowed bike shops to sell their frames only. I modeled my SR500 build partly after their SR1000 which came with an all-white Suntour Superbe Pro group.

Through the years I changes parts several times. The green bike has a Shimano 600 drivetrain and brakeset, yellow Look clipless pedals and Mavic rims in keeping with a green/yellow theme. The white bike has a Shimano 600 drivetrain, white Dia Compe Royal Gran Compe brakeset, white Look clipless pedals, and Matrix aero rims. The latter is pictured currently on the bikestand being overhauled.

Nice 'Dales, those early ones sure are stunning. I really like your white SR500, it's the complete opposite from the Black Lightning!

I think for 2008, when they released the new capo with the eighties-esque paintjob, they made an exception and allowed dealers to sell it as a frameset only. My friend Adam rides one; in my opinion, they're pretty nice, but still not as elegant as the first cannondales.
 
My man cave. Mains are Klipschorn bass bins cutoff at 200 hz, Forte mids from 200 hz-1000 hz and Altec 902/Trachorn tops from 1000 hz on up. The rest are Klipsch Belles and KG series to round out the 7.1.

Part of the living room gets JBL 4612 OKs on casters, which also make great patio/grilling speakers.

SWEET!!!!

Makes my sugar tooth hurt really bad and I'd especially like to be planted in front of those speakers for about a day or so playing music until I just pass out from "sound exhaustion". :thmbsp:

Thanks for the kind words - I really enjoy them. Let's see if my wife would buy into the idea that I should be left alone for a day or so downstairs..........:D Only beer or wine would be needed and a bathroom break at times.

i feel your pain - as one of my three wishes, when i find a genie in a bottle, would be to enjoy my system and mess around with 'em for an entire day without any interruption. the other 2 wishes...., i'd like to keep 'em secret.
